DESCRIPTION:DIPHER 26 – Gender\, Diversity and Career Paths in Physics
 – Erlangen 2026\nDIPHER 26 continues the legacy of fostering inclusivity
and advancing gender and diversity in the FAU Department of Physics. Buil
ding on the success of previous conferences\, DIPHER 26 aims to explore th
e interplay between gender\, diversity\, and career development in physics
. The conference provides a platform for researchers\, educators\, student
s\, and professionals to engage in meaningful discussions\, share experien
ces\, and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable academic environmen
 t. Since the topic is broad and multifaceted\, this year's conference will
focus on career paths in physics and the structural factors that influenc
e them.\nThe conference will feature invited talks covering a broad spectr
um of topics in physics\, complemented by presentations on gender and dive
rsity research in academia. In addition\, participants will have the oppor
tunity to contribute through an open Call for Abstracts\, with selected ta
lks and a poster session showcasing research from all areas of physics. Th
e programme will also include a panel discussion on career paths in academ
ic physics\, an interactive workshop\, and dedicated networking opportunit
ies.\nDIPHER 26 welcomes individuals at all stages of their academic and p
rofessional journey in physics\, including undergraduate and graduate stud
 ents\, doctoral researchers\, postdoctoral researchers\, faculty members\,
educators\, and professionals from research institutions. We encourage pa
rticipation from individuals with diverse backgrounds\, identities\, and p
erspectives.\nDIPHER 2026 is organized by the Department of Physics at FAU
and its Physics Diversity Network (PHYDINE)\, with the support of the Gen
der and Diversity Office of FAU. The conference will take place at the Erl
angen Centre for Astroparticle Physics (ECAP)\, Friedrich-Alexander-Univer
sität Erlangen-Nürnberg\, Erlangen.\nConfirmed speakers and panelists in
